Smarter travel with Thailand’s Digital Arrival Car
Published : 16 May 2025

Thailand is making travel easier for visitors with two new digital tools: the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) and Thai PromptPay QR payments. The TDAC replaces the old paper form, allowing travellers to register online before they arrive, speeding up immigration and improving security. Foreigners can also sign up for PromptPay, a cashless payment system, through services like the PAY & TOUR prepaid card or the TAGTHAi app. This makes paying at places like Jungceylon in Phuket quick and easy, with no need for currency exchange or extra fees. These changes make travel in Thailand smoother and more convenient.

Starting from 1 May 2025, all foreign visitors to Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. This replaces the old paper TM6 form and makes immigration faster and more secure.

Registration process

  • Visit the website: Go to https://tdac.immigration.go.th to start your registration.

  • Fill in details: Enter your personal information, travel plans, and where you will stay in Thailand.

  • Complete health declaration: You will need to provide recent travel history and any health details.

  • Get confirmation: Once you finish, you will receive a QR code that you need to show to immigration officers when you arrive.

Important notes

  • Every traveller, no matter how they enter Thailand, must fill out a TDAC.

  • Each person must fill out their own TDAC, but families can apply together.

  • The process is free and can be done up to three days before you arrive.

This new system makes travelling to Thailand quicker and easier. Be sure to complete your TDAC before you arrive and have your QR code ready for immigration.
