Foodie, Shopper, or Thrill-Seeker? Find Your Version of Jungceylon

Jungceylon is not one mall so much as four connected zones: The Jungle Zone, The Bay Zone, The Botanica Zone and The Garden Zone, located about 400 metres from Patong Beach, directly opposite Bangla Road. The shopping mall scale will give you and your friends different perspectives when walking through the entrance. Here is where to start, depending on which one you preferred.

If you're the Foodie

Go down before you go up. The basement Food Bazaar is the widest spread in the building: Thai street-food staples alongside Indian curries, Chinese stir-fries, Japanese and Italian counters, all buffet-style so a group can order across four cuisines and still sit at one table. It is the cheapest way to eat well here.

When you want a proper sit-down meal instead, The Garden Zone is the dining section of restaurants and cafés built in the Sino-Portuguese shophouse style you'd otherwise drive to Phuket Old Town to see.

One thing worth planning around: the basement food court closes earlier than the mall itself, so if you are planning for dinner, arrive by 9 pm rather than 10 pm. Later than that, the restaurant zones are a better choice.

If you're the Shopper & Deal seeker

Start at The Bay Zone Tourist Privilege Booth, not at a shop. Bring your passport and pick up Tourist Privilege Card as it unlocks discounts of 5-70% at participating shops and restaurants across the centre. If you're carrying a boarding pass, hotel key card or cruise Sea Pass, show that too; it qualifies you for additional gift redemptions.

Then work outward. The Jungle Zone covers variety levels; sport, beachwear fashion, cosmetics, fragrance and watches downstairs, while The Botanica Zone covers international fashion brands, coffee shop, dessert cafe and accessories. For gifts with more character, NaRaYa and other Thai silk standalone shops cover fabric and bags, and Good Goods on The Botanica Zone ground floor stocks Thai artisan-made pieces.

Practical note for international visitors: VAT refund paperwork and currency exchange are both available on site, so you can complete the whole transaction before you leave the building.

If you're the Entertainment Seeker (or travelling with kids)

The headline attraction is Power Drive Elite Kart on the 3rd floor, The Jungle Zone. It's the reason a lot of teenagers are willing to go shopping in the afternoon.

For younger children, Kidzooona, XD Theater, and Froggy's Fun Park in The Botanica Zone handle soft play and supervised activities, the Carousel, and Robo Coaster at The Garden Zone fill the gaps in between. SF Cinema City in The Botanica Zone covers the rainy afternoon that Phuket's green season reliably delivers.

If you're driving, there are over 2,000 parking spaces, with the first 30 minutes free, which is enough for a quick pickup, and cheap enough for a half-day.

If you're the Wellness & Relaxation Lover: Thairapy Zone

Patong sun is genuinely tiring, and the basement of The Jungle Zone is built for the recovery. The Thairapy massage cluster sits down there with Thai traditional, foot and oil massage at Patong prices without the beachfront markup. 

For taking the experience home, THANN has locations in both The Jungle Zone and The Botanica Zone, stocking Thai skincare that travels better than most souvenirs.

Jungceylon is open daily and sits within a five-minute walk of Patong Beach, so it works equally well as an afternoon plan, a heat-escape, or the stop between the beach and the evening.
