The 7th Tsunami Memorial Day Light up Phuket
Patong held tsunami memorial activities on December 26, anniversary of the disaster and now National Disaster Prevention Day in Thailand. ที่สวนสาธารณโลมา หาดป่าตอง อ.กะทู้ จ.ภูเก็ต จังหวัดภูเก็ต ร่วมกับเทศบาลเมืองป่าตอง ททท.ภาคใต้เขต 4 สำนักงานป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยจังหวัดภูเก็ต จัดพิธีรำลึกถึงเหตุการณ์สึนามิและไว้อาศัยให้กับผู้เสียชีวิตจากเหตุการณ์สึนามิทุกวันที่ 26 ธ.ค. ทางอบต.
After a moment of silence, candles were lit in holes in the sand and lanterns suspended by wooden supports were lit, with flowers beneath in memory of the dead. Some people released khom loy’ floating lanterns into the sky.
